SpaceX to build new Mars-bound Falcon rocket in Los Angeles

After successfully launching the Falcon Heavy, SpaceX announced that it’s going to focus all of its energies on developing its massive interplanetary rocket that it’s calling BFR or “Big F****** Rocket.” The 348-foot-long rocket has been designed to take humans to Mars and beyond. SpaceX will now get down to the mammoth task of actually building the BFR and it now been confirmed that the company will do that in Los Angeles. Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti announced on Twitter that SpaceX is going to “start production development of the Big Falcon Rocket,” in his city, specifically the Port of Los Angeles.“This vehicle holds the promise of taking humanity deeper into the cosmos than ever before,” the mayor added. It’s going to be a big and powerful rocket indeed. The BFR will be capable of taking up to 50 tons of payload in space which is a significant improvement over the Falcon Heavy that can manage up to 30 tons.A 30-year lease has been signed by Space
